ok so i havent used ableton much...just started a few weeks ago actually...i was just wondering if theres any way u can connect cd players to it or something...or whether or not there is a way to cue or listen to the next track through your headphones like u would with a real mixer?
basically, im trying to figure out how it can be used to dj live instead of just using the arrangement view
any help would be appreciated!!! |

u need serato if u wanna control the cdjs as ur channels
why not input the cdjs into your mixer with 2 channels ableton and 2 channels cdj? assign a key to ableton tempo and youre set |

Read the "DJ'ing" tutorial that it came with, and play with it.
It's NOT a DJ application, it's a production app with a live performance twist.
If you want to use decks, get a DVS instead (serato, traktor scratch, etc). |
