Wait... this is bad? |

| The only reason I think this is bad is because many people will be getting laid off. |

| Is there a list for restaurant closures? I guess people are still eating out. |

A guy that rides the train with me runs a food service company that supplies restaurants with their ice creams. He said that most are just asking for smaller portions. Restaurants are being hit, but not too bad. |

Why should we feel sorry? Americans have basically lived all these years by living beyond their means and now we see the result. What do these damn retailers want? Spend more on our credit cards? get more in debt?
No thanks |

Bars and restaurants are actually doing well. |

Not all restaurants are doing well. My bf works at a higher end sushi restaurant and he's afraid he's gonna lose his job because business has been so slow lately and the owner is talking about maybe closing the place. Also, my bf tried to go eat at a restaurant in Koreatown this week that he had eaten at last week but it was already out of business.
People will always need to eat but they'll be much pickier where they eat when times like this happen. |

Yeah, it basically depends on the cost of the restaurant. I hope all goes well with that though. I really hate the job loss part of it. |
