i guess game pads would be popular on pc for games like fifa/madden etc? i'm pretty sure just about every mortal kombat game came out on pc, super sf2 turbo did as well as alpha 1 and alpha 2. i play sf games using emulators with a keyboard, they do alright. i always used to get blisters playing on snes anyway :p

Well, there must be an audience willing to play PC versions of these games if companies keep porting them over, so more power to them.

I can imagine Wipeout HD on the PC being absolutely gorgeous, but we both know that'll never happen. :p

Do you guys like the Xbox 360 controller? Just buy the USB version and hook it into your PC. So many new games natively support the Xbox controller now on the PC. Games like DMC4, PURE, and the new Tomb Raider Underworld all basically expect you to have a 360 controller hooked up. I wouldn't even touch Underworld without a gamepad. Its like playing a game on the Xbox only it looks way better.

If you don't like the 360 controller, you can buy a USB adapter and hook up a PS1 or PS2 controller, probably my favorite choice.

Here I am with a wired USB 360 controller, yet I completely forgot it had this ability. I already have a PC gamepad!

As you could imagine, the wired controller is cheaper as well.

Sorry, I meant the game... I knew about the controller. I'll get it for 360 :)

Just got it for the PS3.. It kicks ass. Zero lag for online fights, but I'm still getting Pwned. I need a good arcade stick.

You guys are forgetting Melty Blood and Guilty Gear games were released for the pc in the past.

Arcade joystick+bottons or Keyboard are actually the best for 2d fighting games.

i prefer a gamepad for 3d games like Tekken or Soul Edge.

and you can still play alot of Fighters on Mame\Zinc.;)

I don't really understand why, but I hate joysticks for just about anything. And a keyboard best for a 2-D fighting game? Whatever floats your boat I guess, I can't really imagine me agreeing to that. When it comes to 2-D fighting games, give me a PS1/PS2/PS3 DualShock/Sixaxis...that D-pad is the best out of them all.

Borrowing my friends PS3 while he is on vacation so I haven't even played this on the 360, only the PS3. Looks great although its like your playing a cartoon. The online play was surprisinly lag free for the most part and I was able to pull off moves when I wanted to. A joystick would kick ass but the PS3 pad works decent. I'll get this on the 360 when I give back the PS3 but I'm not sure how I'll be able to pull of moves with the 360 pad. We'll see...
