For all the peeps who busted moves at Spundae, Club Red, and Nikita at Circus in Hollywood, and even for those who haven't yet, DJ Bob Motamedi will be back from Las Vegas on 11/22 and again on 12/6.
I never assume that someone will like music just because I do, but Bob has developed a good following and a lot of my friends were sad to see him leave L.A. to Vegas. The good news is that he will eventually be moving from Vegas back to warm-but-not-as-hot Los Angeles, probably some time next year.
Below find "open letters" to Bob (he gave permission to post)for the locals who want more details about what's going on. For those who don't want to scroll further down, here's a brief summary:
1.) Bob is playing from 9pm to 11pm at Circus / Nikita.
2.) I'm neither a promoter for Bob nor Circus - I just appreciate both and am disinclined to inhibit my inhibitions and youthful exuberance in expressing myself as such. :) But maybe they should pay me something. :D
3.) Nah - It's FREE before 9:30pm // $15 until 11pm - with free guestlist.
4.) If you don't want to wait in the guest line, tix are only about $10 to $12 up to 11:30pm I think. Someone else bought tickets for me and I have an extra one for free - so if you see me on the way in - ask if I have any left. It's my way of supporting the club.

Hi Bob. Don, Anthony, Katrina and myself, among many others, are looking forward to seeing/hearing you back at Circus/Nikita this 11/22 and 12/6. I'm sending out the word that you will be back for those two nights in Los Angeles.....the city of never-ending things to see and do. Does your sudden spike in Circus gigs indicate you've moved back to L.A. ? We hope so!! We miss you!!

Thank you so much for your inspiring message...I am moving back to L.A. soon, just not yet. I need to fix a few things in my life first. We can talk more about it on the 22nd :)

Yay!!!!!!!!!!! You're going to make a lot of people happier and much more moving to more grooving. See you soon and hope you get things fixed sooner - for every challenge, there's a solution, and I know you'll find it. Thanks Bob. Can you let me know what time your sets start so I can get the word out? I missed DJ Gil's set last Saturday night as I was a bit late getting in, and he started around 9pm I think. They should save some of the best music for last, and Gil's is some of the best, in my humble view - but then again, *everyone* says I'm the most humble person in the world. I reluctantly have to agree. =o)

Way kewl. Gil's always been nice and I've been stomping, bomping and tromping to his music for years now. I ran into Kristina Sky at Circus last Saturday. She wasn't playing and mostly hanging out with friends at Tom's station. I told her you will be moving back to L.A. eventually. She seemed both very glad and surprised. =o) |

My apologies, I accidentally overlooked the other thread. How do I close this one and simply add my post to the other thread? This thread is mostly to emphasize that Bob will be moving back to L.A. and that he not only will be at Circus on 11/22, but 12/6 as well, and we'll probably be seeing him more next year. As noted in the emails in the post, Bob learned to DJ from Gil, so some of my friends and I are hoping they'll be at the same venues more often. |

LOL....yeah...sorry about that, it was late and I was sleepy, but that's no excuse since I'm prone to do worse when wide awake. |
