Can anyone identify the source of this problem in terms of hardware or software? What I'm asking is...does this sound like a soundcard issue that can't be fixed, or some sort of driver/software issue? I know it's probably hard to tell from just audio but maybe someone has had this problem before. I get this while in Live and Cubase, and obviously on output as well.
My soundcard driver is up to date. |

| Check your effect chains. Probably some effect is causing this. I don't hear any obvious crackles that sound unintentional, but I think I know which ones you're on about. |

| Have you checked it's not just distortion? |

Just check your latency as well, and increase it. See if that solves the problem.
edit: Never mind this post. Latency issues should not occur on audio exports. |

OK, I did have a crunchy bass stab under every other kick that I think you guys might think I'm referring to, which I am not. So I replaced the link with a sample with that bass stab removed.
It's not effects chain because the only effects is reverb on that percussion. Not intentional distortion, I'm not using a vinyl emulator or anything. In the new sample/link you can here it plain as day about half a second from the end. This only happens with Cubase(totally different songs) and Live. |
