Sympathy? Are you kidding me? More often than not it's their own fault for being so damn obese. A minority of them have a clinical or genetic condition which means that their metabolism is weak. That's fair enough and I have no problems with those people.
However, the other majority who are just too lazy to exercise and have no self control when it comes to eating, why the hell should we have to subsidise their poor life choices? I'm all for my taxes and anything else helping out with healthcare, but this is not health care. It's us normal people needing to compromise our lives and our beliefs for these slobs who are unwilling to do something about being fat.
Please. There is NOTHING beneficial about being obese. It is a health risk so why is modern society making it out to be acceptable? It is not acceptable. It puts a strain on the health system, on relationships, on every day lives, on transport and on numerous other things. Obesity has become a world wide epidemic which is absolutely disgraceful when there are millions of people around the world who can't even get enough food to survive. |
