Bright Pearl Restaurant

just a little heads up about the Bright Pearl Restaurant.

Last weekend we had the food and wine expo at work ( metro convention centre), as with any time we have a large show with outside food and hospitality providers serving customers. there are two Health inspectors making rounds for the entire duratation of the show morning to night. saturday afternoon sometime one of the inspectors tasted a sample of what the BP restuarant booth was serving, and checked their storage/ cooking set up. completly dissatisfied with the qaulity of an item, and the way it was being handled he had them throw everything they brought with them to be thrown in one of our food dispoal bins( which more than likely wasn't empty and could have had kitchen waste in it. Later in the afternoon he went to recheck on them, to find the staff taking the food out of the bin and serving it to customers. the booth was subsequently shut down for the rest of the show and sure theres some other penalties pending. If they're doing this in open at a public show, i shudder to think what they do in their own kitchen were no one can see... just a lil warning and heads up if u decide to eat there.
chinamon
sounds like they are my people.

no, no, no, I refuse to believe this.....
I had chicken feet there last weekend, and it seemed to be just fine.

The place in the past has been awarded for it's dim sum, and it's always seemed pretty decent when I've been there. Then again I could just be being taken as a stupid gwai loh cuz you can never really know when you're in chinatown.

Sounds like they need a visit from Gordon Ramsay.

I went there for dim sum a couple of years ago, and I was not all that impressed. I guess this will stop me from going back.
