What really struck me wasn't the fact that they were ripping on Peter, but the fact that not a single one of those other analysts disagreed with any of the other analysts on anything at all. "Financials are great" "I love the financials" "Oh, I like the financials too". "But watch for that volatility" "Oh, volatility is definitely an issue here" "Yeah, gotta be careful of the volatility."
In hindsight, one can only look at this as a case of either groupthink run amok or outright shilling and PR. It's like listening to a bunch of middle managers crafting vision statements. |
