Personally I use slackware (it's on a p 133 with not very much memory,...) cause I don't need a GUI (I use this computer as a gateway)
But for starting with linux, the best way is using mandrake (like everybody said before ;) ) it has lots of helpful little appz which can help linux newbies.
There are also some other little distributions like Redmond linux,.... |

Sites wont help, But I can sell you a Linux Command Reference Book, Its 627 pages,688 total, This is the best linux command book you can buy you will learn everything you ever need to know...I also have a RHCE exam book, If anyone is interested at all, COntact me. (Will Trade For Vinyl..) :D ;) :disbelief :) |

well, no ing wonder...
i ran redhat 6.0 with gnome for a while but everything read like greek, so i gave up and swore i'll never use linux again until they make it point-and-clicky like windows...
mmm... i'm so dependent on windows, its kinda scary... |

Your gonna be waiting a long time! :toothless I cant speak for all linux users, But I know the people who I know who use linux NEVER want linux to be like windows, Well, Their is "Lindows" which I hope they loose their lawsuit so they cant produce it! :whip: :whip: :whip: :disbelief |
