I wasn't debating whether trance was big or not in Miami as its pretty clear house and techno dominate it, I know WMC isn't the place to showcase trance. What I'm saying that virtually ALL of the trance parties are on the same night. I do love those DJs you mentioned, but the fact that the majority of them are playing on Thursday really sucks. Add to that the rumor that Tiesto is also playing on Thursday... ahh well. And the poster ahead of me just added Andy Duguid (trance) to Thursday too! Ahh hahaha that is crap! |

i agree that there should be a bit mroe variety with big name trance talent for wed and sat...but wmc has moved past trance...the parties tend to be empty and the talent doesnt travel stateside this time of year...

I agree that minimal and tech house are dominating this year's WMC, so everyone enjoy the bandwagon while it lasts. And I do not mind because there still is trance and i like some techno, house, etc thrown in every WMC
But in case you forgot here is a recap of how the big names did last year @ WMC:
Corsten & SVD @ Space Thursday = slam packed
PVD @ Space Friday = slam packed
Tiesto @ Mansion Saturday = slam packed
Armada Night w/ Markus & AVB @ Parkwest Saturday = slam packed
None of those parties were empty at all, and those horrible trance guys still pull the biggest numbers anywhere any time. And I guarantee you there were a bunch of smaller house, tech and minimal parties that did bad (in terms of numbers) last year and will do bad this year. Too many parties 4 them all to be slammed - simple math |
