I just moved to Kansas City and am having some trouble finding good music. Does anyone know any good venues/clubs/events there? I stumbled upon NV on the net and am thinking about checking it out, but I need some help!

i think Dante's has some good EDM acts going through occassionally.

one of the resident djs there is pretty good.

Yeah, Dante's is good....Yanix plays there often as the prog/trance opener...really solid...

the underground (drum n' bass) scene is incredible in St. Louis....i recommend checking out the Upstairs Lounge along with a few other lounges around the city....actually some decent house music as well. All and all a good scene....just dont attend school there, it will turn a very healthy person insane.

its weird in how these secondary markets drum and bass is like HUGETASTIC and in Chicago its virtually non-existant

that seems to be the case in most smaller scene locations. weird.

I think it's called the Power and Lights district (something like that). A friend of mine, Mark Styles, spins regularly at Mosaic and a few other places. I'd suggest checking that out. It's more of a mainstream house/electro scene. DJ Who resides out there now, too, and plays once in a while. They host a weekly party called EVE.

Once you get in with that crowd you can find out about all the other things going on, but I highly suggest checking it out.
