your not the only one who feels that way about James Reed LOL
I love the openers for 77002.com shows. I like RIch's but I get there late now because I can't deal with listening to James Reed opening. I would have liked to see Tritonal
I just got that off of houstonbeats.com |

Apparently he gets the most ass around Houston. That's coming from his very own words. Maybe he should just quit the music and go into male prostitution.
Otherwise,

Yeah no kidding I usually show up at 11:30ish. And even then the bar area is packed with no one on the floor.
My main criticsm is.. his sets have no flow to them. Its like he's in his own little world just playing random tracks just to pass the time until the headliner gets on, rather than actually *trying* to to play a set.
He plays alot of cheesy vocal house tracks...but maybe he actually likes that kind of music. Ya never know. |

My question is, why doesn't the owner/promoter of Riches not give anyone else a chance to open? Besides us, in Houston we have Josh Dupont, Red, Matthew Dunn, Randall Jones and Derek Howell if they weren't on tour...
Point being we have alot of talent in this city, yet a mediocre DJ gets all the opening slots. |

I dont know. I opened up for Christopher Lawrence a month or so ago since i guess James went out of town. I cant count how many people came up to me saying "Im so glad your opening up" All i could say was many thanks. After i was done the promoter said everyone who didnt know was asking who was I and was saying they really like my set and how i did things. It was a great feeling to hear that. I even had the GM and the bar manager on the dance floor. The bar manager wants all my mix cd's now but yet James keeps opening up.
Now the part we don't know are all the politics that are involved in it. |

friend, that's behind everything in this world of ours. If there were no politics, there would be no crime, no hate, no war, no murder, and most importantly, no Dave. |
