Sander is the greatest example of a great producer that went down the river. I remember his "Direkt Dizko" and "Breathe" remix days...now he's just a minimal producer that lost his soul.

Bleh, Supernaturalistic is still better than most of the "Trance" albums released in the last 18months.

He was pumping out tunes like a madman for awhile there between productions and remixes. 2006 - mid-2007, but as he's gotten a ton more bookings it means less time to produce.

He's way more focused on tech (eg. tech-trance) these days.

Think in finding that direction he hit a lull period...earlier this year he released an artist ablum (Supernaturalistic) and I think he's back on track and making some great tunes again...if you like that style he has gone with. I do, but I do know a lot of people who were blown away by him a couple years ago that don't like the style he's playing these days....glad he's following the direction he wants to go, but he's lost momentum because of it.

All in my opinion.

Guess I must be one of those early SVD fans, coz ther's only been a couple of tunes that I've liked from him over the last year or so. Really loved his early stuff from Oxygen and Reset and his Sam Sharp stuff. His progressive/tech-housier type stuff of late just hasn't done much for me, and I do like good tech-house.

I liked his early productions, but then he did just overproduced trance just like others. His recent stuff has been much much better, more techno, more soul again. I'm happy he went away from that commercial Ibiza-sound.

Good track!

Curious to hear what he's done in this tune. Hoping he's making a return to that quality tech-trance sound he used to produce so well.

I wrote a mini-review of his show in Edmonton last night in the Western Canada forum, but basically I was going in with a very negative opinion because of the past shows I've seen of him playing very slow boring trance... but he was ridiculous! Amazing uplifting tunes and banging trance all night! So not sure about his productions and such still, but him live was wikkid this time around!

Sander isn't the same he used to be at all! Man I remember when my bf & I started liking him way back in the time of all his aliases and the banging ass music he produced...now he dropped everything else like a bad habit and isn't producing much. A lot of it sounds like minimal CRAP! Although I will always love Sander cuz hell, I began listening to his before he became all popular, he kinda lost it...maybe it was the fame.

I just hope he finds his way back to his old tech roots...IMO those were his best days!! 2004-2006!!

Bling Bling, Loaded, Dark Roast, A.K.A., Pumpkin, his remixes of Compadre & Squelch is where I remember Sander.

whatever though happens. I'm still a believer but I'm not into that new sound one bit.

Sander van Doorn NEWS FLASH!!

Doorn Records releases Jon Rundell – Dawn Raid (inc a remix by Sander)

Good friend and warm up DJ to Carl Cox, Jon Rundell, drops a massive tune on Sander van Doorn’s label, Doorn Records. A dirty synth stab combined with some good driving beats makes this track a must have for all the rough dj’s. Sander himself takes it to another level on the flipside with an awesome remix!

Some of the DJ reactions:
Carl Cox: “Massive!”
Armin van Buuren: ”Played in my show!”
Axwell: “Really fat sound a usual! I like it!!!!”
Tiesto: “What a drive and energy! Very strong”
Marco V: ”Strong remix from Sander!”
Funkagenda: “Like both mixes!”
Dave Dresen: “Nice as usual!”
