My general view is that WMC is going to be rocked by the downturn - I'm sure it won't appear that way on the surface but if you really crank down to the financials of these clubs compared to the past few years they are in for a serious beating.

On a second note, a few people pointed out that clubs/drinks/etc may be cheaper..I actually think the reduced demand is going to force club managers to re-think strategy (aka: these people flew all the way to Miami and we are trying to break even because of the awful year in the nightclub/bar industry, so let's just charge 10-20% higher because lets face it - they WILL pay).

I hope I'm wrong but you have to think about what you would do as a major decision maker with your clubs life possibly on the line this year.

There are one way flights from Grand Rapids Michigan to Orlando for $89 and I was thinking of taking the girlfriend to Disney or some because she has never been there or whatever. I want to ride some rollercoasters (not even that many in Orlando), and go to WMC.
drEamer
well lets hope that with the economy as bad as it is......we wont be sardines at every club we go to

Did you fail economics Chris? What happened to supply/demand. As club owners get more desperate, prices WILL go down. The big name Sobe clubs don't compete on price so I wouldn't expect them to adjust pricing, but the small venues will be promoting the out of drink specials, reduced cover charges, etc.... my theory anyway.

Are we still sleeping in your car bro? :D
