my bad. I assumed it was because of something he may have said or done to you or someone else you know. I take it back. :clown:

I like No Doubt so I was happy about it. aha!

I think he worked with Britney Spears too? that I don't care for, but I would never shun him as a person just because he might make a decision I don't agree with. But, of course I wouldn't expect you or anyone else to agree w/ me.

I was actually a big No Doubt fan... I think that's why I disliked it so much heheh

The song sucks imo. And it wasn't just one song. I respect a lot of the early stuff he did, but thought he just became a sellout in the late 90s early 00s. Do you guys seriously think the guy is perfect and cannot be criticized? :wtf:

did you read my earlier post? like, the whole thing?

I'm not a fan of 'Southside' either.

So... why are you being so defensive?

you said "It's really hard for me to imagine someone I dislike more than Moby." it just made me wonder why you would dislike him so much.

IMO he's the original EDM sellout. Guess you can say my dislike started when he publicly bragged about selling every track on "Play" to either an advertiser, film or TV soundtrack. Then he goes on to make a few (imo lackluster) collaborations with the most famous pop stars he can find. If he wants to make money that's fine, but I'm not going to respect him for it when I'm not diggin the music he's makin.

Anyway the thread was about Moby as a DJ and I gave my two cents, which was that he was awesome at DEMF.

Can't disagree with that. but on the other hand, I don't think it's far-fetched to say that any "artist" reaches a certain point in their "art" where they have to ask themselves a question - "why am I doing this?". It becomes a question of time and effort. They have to assess, whether they should continue doing it. Many quit at that point. Maybe most. Some decide, to take a different route, to harness what they've done so far to help them continue with their pursuits - to help them stay motivated - to help them prosper and strive to get even better than they ever thought they would or could. Yes, many times this is what is known as "selling out". And yes, Moby sold out. But do you know what, I can't help but be happy for him. Just like I can't help but be happy for Trent Reznor. They worked for a LONG ASS portion of their lives, doing what they loved to do. And for it to "pay" off in the end, you know what, more power to them. Good for them. And, it makes me feel like they finally got the respect, recognition, and yes, money, they deserved. Because true natural skill is few and far between. And it should be recognized and credited. The end.
Dj Spiel
has to be on my TOP10 for "fav" moby track
