Oil and Gas is a big part of the alberta and NL economy, but i would be more apt to suggest that canada has a far more diverse economy than Russia does. Mind you we are heavily reliant on natural resources (mining, oil and gas, and forestry) but we also have huge fisheries, cash crop, livestock and other renewable exports.
