LOL, that's a hell of a statement to make. I like Laurent as much as the next guy, but I don't think a statement like the one above is very accurate. |
Well all you have to do is look at the myspace influences for most guys today to see how highly regarded he is with the network. I'm not saying that paints the whole picture but I'm not about to ask everyone of them who they followed before producing either. Maybe not 95%, but I would say the vast majority consider him to be amongst their top inspirations as they were just so bloody good.
Also looking at his resume of all the other great producers he's worked with is quite remarkable for a very simple guy, I really hope he continues on with his work because it's always worth giving a listen to. |

Sunspot, Tourag, Save me, plus other projects Ferry tale, Cape Town, one of the best producers I have ever heard, takes the most different directions. |
Ferry Tale is different dude, who is the other half of Cape Town alias.
Actually, Cape Town is my fav of Airwave's projects.
Meh of a DJ, and one helluva produccer. Also hangs around the production forum quite a few times |

| I have to agree he is so-so of a DJ, very respectable producer, but now it seems he is riding the wave of his production glory days prior to 2001, which was pretty ahead of the time stuff. Now I feel he is going backwards. Hasn't really changed his sound, and did not improve it, but rather became worse. Eventhough his productions quality has been on a decline since around 2001, I still hunted for all his releases until around 2004 as I had hopes for good new stuff, and then gave up on him somewhat, and now I still try to get all his releases, but more for trivial purposes. No fresh new sound anymore for ages, but I have highest respect for him for all his massive contributions to EDM scene. He was in my top 5 favourite producers along with M.I.K.E. since late 90's. My favourite Airwave set would have to be the one on "Battle Of The Dj's - Airwave vs Push" CD from 2000. Well, anything from him prior to 2001 is legendary. |

as a DJ he is very different, though it is not what he is known for. His compilation A trip in trance 6 though was extremely well done. |
