| i was riding my bike through an intersection and some old lady didn't stop in time. i saw her a split second before she creamed me and i rolled over the hood and onto her windshield. when she slammed on the brakes i flew off the car and landed in the middle of the road into oncoming traffic. pretty intense. i thought i was a goner. my $900 bike was completely mangled under the car. fun story since i didn't get too injured. definitely saw my life flash before my eyes. |

This sounds pretty gay but I've had that too...falling off a building (it felt so real I could feel like all my insides shift as I was falling), being stabbed, murdered. The lot!
In real life though the nearest I had to feeling like dying was when I told my wife I thought her meal one night was terrible. I'm pretty sheltered! :o :rolleyes: |

In real life, maybe once or twice. Once I was on my bicycle and I'm about to turn left when a car comes around the corner. I remember thinking ", I'm gonna hit that and die". But I managed to barely avoid the car and instead crash into a bush.
The other time was when my friend was driving, and recklessly at that. He can be pretty irresponsible behind the wheel when it comes to keeping the speed limit. He did a stupid move when overtaking another car and we almost had a frontal collision with the meeting traffic. |
most of this too...but dreams of my friend driving his ty car off a mountain too.
alt i have almost drowned when i was little and had a car slide off a mountain road, so i guess my dreams are real, but not as extreme as i think. the truck caught a tree so it only slid about 10 feet, but this was a ~45 degree grade...
i walked for about 3 hours after that just to get away. i was sober and was supposed to be driving, drunky mc thought he could operate his blazer better than a sober person|
(different friend, if you could call the accident one a true friend, the other walked with me about 7 miles) |

i was drowning in black sea when i was 10, i was under water for about 2 minutes. eventually some fisherman saw my brother, who was near by, yelling for help (my brother didnt know how to swim) and jumped in . he got me out and held me upside down while water was gashing out of my mouth. after they were done i rested for 10 minutes and went back in to the water :)
other one was when i was 14 i was in car crash. it was pretty ed up, the car that i was in flipped 5-7 times. for about a minute and half after crash i thought i was dead for sure. i could still see things around me but i couldn't make sense of them and also i couldn't hear anything but a slight beeping sound. when i came to senses i crawled out of the windshield and i saw my grandma who was in the car with me squashed by a car that i was in which fell on top of her. i found out later that she fell out of the car when it was still flipping and somehow she ended up under it. i couldn't sleep like a normal person for 4 months after that experience |

she actually survived the crash but she died in hospital. it wasn't as bad as it sounds i guess. car stopped flipping sideways and her legs and her half upper body was under it |

| A few years back my rental car broke down in the middle of the desert in Nevada (on a not so well travelled road), about 200-300 miles from Vegas. It was over 120 degrees outside and i didn't have cell phone reception. |

Not that it counts, but I do in my dreams all the time. I really hate that feeling...
Oh, and I did have a cancer scare a couple years ago. Waiting for the results from the autopsy of the tumor or whatever was absolutely painful, I truly respect anyone who's actually been through it only to get bad news. |
