Is there anything similar to a CDJ 200 but a bit cheaper? Maybe in the 100-200 dollar range? I'm looking for some cheap to actually practice. It'll be like 4 years before I could possible afford decent stuff.

if your looking at the cdj200...and your willing to spend 200...save up 50 more bucks. 250 is usually what they go for on ebay .

if you blow your cash right now...might take you longer than you expect when you want to get a cdj200.

yeah it's definitely worth saving up for good equipment. don't buy cheap because you'll end up with crap equipment that either 1. limits your ability to actually practice or 2. dies out quickly

save and you're guarenteed to not regret doing so.

Save your cash for at least CDJ-400 :)
Maybe I have a bad experience but the actual jog on cdj-200 is crap.

Good luck

i started on Pioneer CDJ-100s....they are definately reliable and great to practice on. you can get them used for pretty cheap.....maybe even 100$ each.

Also, it's worth remembering that if you splash out the cash for decent gear and then decide Djing isn't for you, you'll get a lot more of your money back when selling desirable stuff, rather than cheap that no one wants.

is there a reliable place where i can maybe get used equipment?

with craigslist you have the ability of meeting with the person you are buying it from. that way you have the option to see them and test them out before you buy them. just make sure you do your research beforehand to see exactly what to test, so you don't overlook anything important.

I bought my CDJ's on ebay and had no problem. just use your ebay smarts when shopping around.

Yep, that's what I'd recommend.

I think 100s and 200s are crap to play on, but it's good to know how to do it.
