waddup i went to djdeals.com and compuplus.com and a couple other sites and guitar center denied all of the price matches. i'm looking to get the technics m5g's and was wondering if anyone could refer me to a site that guitar center could price match.
thanks |

| that is weird. They priced match my cdj-1000mk3s and djm-800 with some small company I found through Amazon. I saved like $600 :P |

yeah same here, I'm sure it all depends on the manager that takes a look at it. I bought my Behringer Truths for like $260 for the pair which I found on some random no name shop online. The sales man just took it to the manager who took a quick glimpse at it and signed it off and let me take it.
Try another day, or at another guitar center if there's one near by. |

you can always go agiprodj.
i know when i used to work at gc, some people were anal of "authorized dealers" |

go to the panasonic/technics site here
http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-...000000000005702
go to find a dealer -> shop online retailers -> and go to provantage
provantage has m5g's for $476.71. I recently did this and gc pricematched plus 10% of the difference. I got mine for around $464. I actually just wanted a 1210MK5 but they didn't have any. hope this works for you and anyone else reading. |

if i remember correctly...technics had almost no profit margin on them. i think the profit margin was about 50 bucks or so.
probably reason why guitar center isnt price matching.
they'll usually tell you they cant do anything if theres absolutely no money being made. |

Go with http://www.Musiciansfriend.com I have bought all my gear from them and they have no problem pricematching so long as you can tell the rep on the phone the webaddress of where you found the better deal.
If guitar center allready said no then pass them up and go with M.F. you will not be disappointed. BTW everything they sell they are an authorized dealer for. |

| Interesting.. when i went to guitar center the first time to get serato they price matched agiprodj and didnt even check for price. I picked up serato for 430 with no tax. I came back on black friday to pick up 800mk2's and they looked up the price for me and gave me another 15% because of black friday. I went to get a price quote but came out with 2 new cdjs haha. I guess it depends on which GC you go to. |

Also, I think because of the economy, they're especially desperate to move some stock out. They had some (for them) crazy sales going on in mine. |
