I gotta rip into you for that one... these yearmixes are SICK. 80 somewhat tracks mashed up in perfect harmony is so ing hard to do. You can't just throw any tracks together like you do when you mix intro/outro beats with no melody. 's ill... |

Listened to the yearmix... maybe it will take time to grow on me but i feel his mixing was rushed this year - poor quality.
Very glad that Anticipation got on there. Disappointed On A Good Day did not - probably going to milk that once the single releases next year.
Congrats Marcello! Was worried this wasn't going to be on the list since it started playing near the end.
I agree with Gerard, La Guitarra will probably in the top 5 this year - BS i couldn't vote for Sied's Fine Without You Remix.

I love yearmixes but this year's yearmix really sucks, the mixing is horrible. The first 30 minutes of CD1 is very reptitive, vocal over previous track beats, Armin never used to be this boring. Its like he forgot how to even do yearmixes -__-. The last 15 minutes of CD1 it actually starts flowing correctly then it ends. I didn't even bother with CD2. Overall, I am quite disappointed this year.
Horrible mixing, abrupt transitions, repetitive vocals over previous beats formula, nothing magical about this one. He doesn't use any of the techniques he used in 2005 or 2006. I'm sure Armin is extremely busy but im sure he could have made a better effort. |
