It's sad how much the EDM culture has changed. Was so much more fun back then.

So true man. I like to think of them as the "Hyperia Days". I was even watching Human Traffic a few weeks ago and that song "Belfast" by Orbital just brings so many memories.

The movie closed out with "Heaven Scent" and I was like "Man, that was when Sasha and Digweed were still playing trance". ing awesome track back in the day.

groove was a good movie and brought back old memories... definitely nothing like it is today. very commercialized and cold in comparison. i still like a lot of the music coming out though

This makes you wonder...what will "EDM" be in 2020? :nervous:

I don't agree with everyone saying it was better back then. It is better now. Then again my train is just getting ready to leave the station, so there isn't much for me to be nostalgic about.

Either way I see everyone always say this. Someone always starts with how it was way better before 2004 then people say no it was better before 2001 then someone says 1999 until you get all the way back to when Steve was born before anyone was producing Techno or house. I can understand being nostalgic about not being able to go to the Paradise Garage anymore so I guess I can feel Steve on that tip. I mean the scene really died after they closed down in 1987 and has never been or will ever be the same.

Maybe your style, yea. But trance blows, and no it hasn't always blown. There was a time after the dinosaur age and before 2008 that trance ruled the world.

I threw an edit so you guys could have an explanation.
