you can also buy the stuff yourself, this way you get more choice of what goes into it as you know what your mom likes. A lot of people that do gift wrapping will also arrange baskets for a nominal fee. when you buy your own stuff to put in it you can get more for less.

My mom is impossible to shop for. When I ask her what she wants, or ask my dad what she wants, it's always some vague general answer. My mom never answers that question, and says she doesn't care what I get me. I'm sure she really doesn't care if I get her anything, but I bet she wouldn't be happy if I didn't. My dad said she needs new slippers, and I know that's not enough, so I figure I will go to Bed Bath and Beyond or Brookstone and find something practical and enjoyable for her. Any thoughts or ideas?

My dad, however, is easy to come up with a Christmas gift for. He has a two hour round trip commute to work every day, so I found the entire Dune series (15 books) in Audiobook form, somewhere on the internets. I ordered a bunch of CD cases that hold 20 CD's, and a bunch of blank CD's so that I can burn the entire collection for him. It will take a while, and I have to burn somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 CD's, but it seems like a very nice gift for him, and I think it will be worth it.

What are you guys getting for your parents?

Dune audiobook is an awesome gift.
