I'm sure there's gotta be some fans out there that would appreciate this! I collected whatever mixes I could find from back in the day when Sikora was blowin up the breaks world in the southeast...
If you've never heard any of his stuff check out Afterthoughts.. it's pretty incredible..
I set up a torrent with 21 sikora mixes...

| well if that is true that really sux i like his mixes they were tight back in the day...seen him a couple times he was on point, last time i seen him he wasnt that great but i think he might of been drunk or something. that was at the atrium in stone mountain in march of 03 or 04 when ming and fs was there! damn they were the !!! wish they would come around again burufunk was there also...good party!!! |

Around 6 years ago he was # 51 on TheDJlist.com, now hes hardly known. He played funky breaks pretty much, most of it when listened to nowadays sounds really cheesy at best.
There are too many rumors to what happened to him verses what actually happened, I think all of them are better left unsaid |

the most basic version of what happened was that he got arrested for being involved with drug dealing on a fairly large scale and he's been in prison ever since.
if you look back at some of those mixes they may seem cheesy but the guy really knew his and he was so ing good at programming and mixing it is unreal. it's sad that he had to suffer the fate he suffered, he was always very nice to me when i was first starting out as a dj, one of the only people who would ever say hello every time we ran into one another.
the hip hop vs jungle mix is still one of my all time favorites, its just too ing good to dismiss it as cheesy. |
