tigerdirect is a good site, they have been a stable, trusted internet biz for many years.

| Our department buys stuff from them all the time and we've never had a problem. I've ordered something personally too and think they're awesome :) Usually, everything arrives really fast. |

tigerdirect is/was infamously bad. maybe they've improved. a simple purchase of a new item in stock might be straightforward but the trouble seems to start if you try to do anything beyond like needing a return or exchange, expecting some rebate, finding an incorrectly charged credit card.... it'll become a pain.
newegg is my fav online electronics retailer and most geeks' favorite as well. and bhphotovideo for camera gear. |

It's been a couple of years that I've been holding off on buying a 46" - 50" flat screen TV. I usually buy my electronic stuff through Circuit City or Costco but lately, I've been seeing some pretty good deals on TigerDirect.

i think that's a bit too risky of a purchase for tigerdirect. that's totally a costco kind of purchase. have you browsed any deal sites like fatwallet ? i see a couple good tv deals floating around there right now |

newegg.com is also great.

slickdeals.net is also a great site to find deals on electronics, and other things. |

Never heard of fatwallet.com and I was too was thinking about making a risky purchase. I'd feel safer with Circuit City even if it's going out of business. My favorite place. :sadgreen: |
