Hello Hello!!.. Yes, that is right. Due to the lovely little ice storm we had last night, everywhere around me has no power.. for days to a week... Anyone else effected by this?
I was trying to study for a final last night (which was supposed to be this morning...) when the storm started, ice forming on the trees and took down trees and branches by the minute.. literally every minute there were at least 3-4 trees that went down - I honestly thought one was going to land on my house, i didnt go up to my bed bc i was scared i was gunna die by branch!!!...
Power goes out at like 1am, in the morning I come to see the damage, pretty awful- trees everywhere, still falling, roads are impassable, we had to chain saw a tree or two in the driveway to get out, thank god the house and cars were okay....
SO!.. News reports say it could be up to 1 week that we are without power, as Worcester got hit the worst... Niiiiiice! So I've fled with my familiy to the Embassy Suites where my sister works, about 45m away... in the business center right now, catching up on emails and reconnecting with the universe, ugh!! lol..
So well be here for two nights, but after that we may have to ruff it out in the cold house, or go to relatives somewhere... this is kinda comical. totally sucks, but it could be worse, no one is hurt, its not like other natural disaster which are waaay way worse.
While driving through my wretched looking town i was blaring Markus Schulz's essential mix - the track was Dakota- Day off in Lima - it was a perfect song for the moment!!!
Its right in the middle of finals week thought, I wonder when those will resume? Christmas eve perhaps. haha.
Well i took tons of pics, i cant get them up here, but they are pretty cool, i will sometime. Im just happy i got to take my dog henry with me to the hotel, otherwise id never leave him home :(
Soooo-- I will be MIA most likely for a little while, but I trust sam to handle all my Pacha VIP bookings in the mean time hahahaha (LOL <3 u!) Anyone else effected by this lovely lil storm?

when i was in law school the MTA decided to strike during the last week of finals. They rescheduled some of the finals for the week between Christmas and New Years, and for some of us who went on vacation, we had to take the finals the weekend before the new semester started. Fun times! nothing like delaying finals when you have already invested days of your time studying. |

I almost had to come to Mass and show that storm who the hell is boss!! except...I forgot my phone at home and spent my day at work freaking out because I had no idea if you were ok!!
ps. I think that is honestly the longest amount of time we have been apart by phone/text/email. I dont ever want it to happen again. im serious...ill go get your ass and bring you here!! |

Suny Buffalo Fall 00 semester!!! I will never forget the stupid storm that f'd up thanksgiving which I had a chem test the day before. I studied and was ready to get at least an 85+ but this crazy snow storm came and well next morning when the test was at 8am. I went there just in case(10 min walk) and no one was there!!! Came back from the break, took the test and got a 70 something!
Final word is test delay due to reasons beyond your own control suck unless if the test is really hard and you are not prepared :p |

hahah I dont know when my final is... we have another one Monday, now i might have two on Monday? I dunno, im about to go into work at MGH in Boston 7p-7a, so tomorrow will be a productive study day (not..) I think were gunna stay in this hotel another night too, i dunno. I am about to murder my parents, no one quite understands how annoying they are hahahah -
and sam- yes that was far too long to be out of contact, never again!!!!
hahah Well guys, im off to work! :)
And yes- i cant download ANY of the mixes this week due to this - that right there is one of my biggest set backs, mike will u forgive me!!!!!!!!! haha |
