Just a crazy thought, but maybe you could try putting a vacuum up to it and try to suck some of that rank smell from it.
Jah
if you just had a shower shouldn't they smell good :(?
DJ Chrono
I think if you put a dish of baking soda very close to it, it should eat up the odor. Just leave your headphones with some baking soda every time you dont use them. make sure not to get the baking soda in, or on them :nervous:
burns
My old freind had that problem but he stunk him-self so.... :(
I suggest you dry your hair or even better...Get a skin head :)
Gluegun
Hey now, careful with suggesting that. There's a few double meanings to that term....
Ugg
If the pads come off, replace them. Are the phones themselves dirty & smelly as well? If so, you'll have to clean them before putting on new pads.
LOL.. or you can just change your DJ name to: DJ Pigpen.. DJ Smelly.. DJ Stank?? :D

Gluegun,
How come you ditched your SONY V6 recommendation for Sennheiser HD280 Pro??? What was the basis for your change in opinion?
Gluegun
Mostly isolation and the fact that this has a side swivel. Also, you don't need to mod these for comfort. The V6 still kicks ass, though. They are both great, and both should be considered by any DJ, as each has their own strengths and weaknesses

When i upgrade from my optimus' i am gonna get the sennheisers.

just because, i hate sony, and all their big label profiteering copyright blocking minidiscing, proprietary memory sticking bull.

also 32db of isolation would be SWEET.

sennheiser is a good old german quality!
hmm.. maybe i should get a skinhead too?
heil!
*ONLY JOKING, i am no nazi*
DJ LIQUID
well here's a suggestion to prevent that from happening

after...or during your set if you find that they are wet....dry them off on your shirt or a towel.

remember the best solution is prevention ;)

i find that sometimes my phones have sweat on them so i just dry them off on my shirt....and my headphones dont have any type of aroma now :)
Gluegun
Careful, JS. There seems to be a bit of a Jewish presence here. I know it was a joke, but I think it would be smart to reconsider that style of humor, ya know? No problems from here, tho.

Great Outdoors
Gee thanks guys for all the help, I really appreciate it. It doesn't stink as bad now, I did a bit of washing. :D
