I dunno, I think you might be readin a bit too much into nothing (or looking for something where there's nothing). I'm pretty sure the flash you see if just a camera flash reflecting on the wall, and the guy that pulls him back looks like a fellow journalist if you ask me.

Conspiracy theories usually centre around America doing something they shouldn't, in this case I fail to see the conspiracy (of the sinister kind, that is, not the conspiracy that this guy came up with the hurl his shoes at Bush!)

I think Bush was tipped off before hand about it by CIA Agents.:o

Just out of interest, what did you reckon the flash was (or could have been)?

An Iraqi journalist arrested after throwing his shoes at the US president has been tortured during his detention, his brother has said.

Muntazer al-Zaidi, who called George Bush "a dog" during his attack, was beaten by security guards after his arrest, Durgham al-Zaidi told Al Jazeera on Tuesday.

"We know that [Muntazer] has been tortured and his hand was broken. I asked them to go and check on him in the Green Zone [in Baghdad]," he said.

Al-Baghdadia television, Muntazer's employer, reported that al-Zeidi had been "seriously injured" while in custody.

Bush is stupid. He can say whatever he wants, but it doesn't mean that he really meant that.

Well, their constitution maintains Islamic law as the supreme law of the land, so I'd say their an Islamic state in the making. Just waiting for the Americans to get the out.

Does anyone know what's happened to the brave Iraqi guy who threw his shoe into this bastard?

Muntazer al-Zaidi was roughed up pretty good by guards while being arrested and while in custody. couple of broken ribs, a fat lip and he might lose sight in one eye.

adding, literally, insult to injury he's facing up to 15 years in prison for what he did.

Bush deserves more than just a shoe in the face for making millions of people refugees and ruining countless lives.
