Actually he should just go to the local computer store and get an enclosure. Then it becomes an external hard drive. This is the best option as he needs only 1 computer. |

| you can definitely still get those files, you just need to plug in the old hard drive to another computer. then have it set up as a slave drive(IE the drive that the OS isn't booted from). unless its the hard drive that died and killed your comp. Then you need to contact a company that specializes in file extraction from dead HDs. |
