| I remember listening to the radio with a tape in the deck and my finger on the record button, waiting for that ONE song I loved at the time to play. |

| I remember a general, child-like sense of "there's nothing to do," whereas now I can decide to instantly learn a new instrument or language or anything I feel like putting the energy into doing. which, most of the time, is still nothing. |

me too, and then got a double-deck ghetto blaster for xmas, so I just recorded the radio constantly on a 120min chrome or metal cassette, then scanned for and dubbed the good ones.
As for me... I worked for the largest technology company in the world for 12 years now and computers have been part of most of my life... however I would give it all up for to do something I really love and pays the bills, without internet at all. I'm overwhelmed with information overload at times. |

My sister and I were allowed to stay up pretty late compared to most other kids...so we'd always have the best songs on our mix tapes, lol. |

| I remember when the only music I would ever hear was what my mom had on cassettes. |

Wait wait...what was your mom's deal? Was she just not cool enough to have records? Or were they beyond even her years??
My parents had an awesome record collection. |
