I know im late on my response but what a frickin night this turned out to be!! I was on the dance floor the whole night. Its been a while since that has happened. Fila played so many tracks i loved. It was super awesome when he played back to you. Everyone was singing. Great vibe that night. I got overboard on the alcohol please believe. I think i spent just under a hundo! yikes!!! i was on the dance floor and i was feelin myself!! haha:whip: :whip: :whip:
Taj thank you for making this night possible. I appreciate all the hard work you put into these nights just so we can hear unbelievable music! I hope you can keep Friday nights alive and running for a long time.:gsmile: |

Good news.
Although the mix broadcast gave out. The video captured the mix, and everything else! 2:18 AM right now looks pretty good. Sound Quality for the video I would rate maybe a A-? Definitely bumpable.
Video Quality I wont know until I pop it into a DVD player and play it back. The one thing I like about Sony is the mic's usually pick up everything even if it s super duper loud. Maybe DaveT can work some magic with it since I hear hes a pro with video... I tried watching it on my 60 inch in my room, but it was too grainy, I think maybe because it Hi-8 going to S-Video. I think the only time that the video cut out was when I needed to switch tapes. This also gives me reason to get out and get that new Hi-Definition video recorder I been wanting.
If I edited maybe bring it out and EQ it, I think I could get it to sound better, right now working on grabbing it for editing. Looks like I got some work ahead of me to do. The place I positioned the camera was A+. I got everything, and the ambience of the crowd singing along with certain Tracks!
Its going to be a big file to download, so give me some time to work with it since im burning it to DVD, and will go from there. Gotta make it something more compact, like flash so you guys can view it, etc... Theres also points in the video, where the Kryo goes off, and people go Nutty. I can see TDizzle thoroughout the night, including alot of you.
Hope to have this up this week.
All I can say is...Big apology to everyone for the botchedness of recording and brodcast on my part. This should have been up and ready but for some unknown reason it didnt work this night! I feel responsible for this as I should have been more on point for getting this right. :(
The goofed recording, and broadcast only gives Taj more reason to bring Aly & Fila back, right???? TA's vote to get em back, This time both of em together for another Zendada event! If you want Aly & Fila back post your reply!!!! Lets make this happen folks! This time, the both of em!
P.S. Thanks for the post roxb0x, and everyone giving good feedback on me and John. Only means for me to strive better and work harder. Ill have the mixes available for download, including a new mix comin soon for Jon Obir night....
Favorite tracks for me this night Fila played have to be FKN Feat Jahala - Still Time (Aly And Fila Remix). Watching it now on the playback and everyone goin crazy and screamin for it... Someone stated to me that Fila's mixing skills were flawless. watching the video back all I can say is your right. Dude, he was so on point, Never missed a beat. I know who I'm voting for next on the Dj 100.

This was such an incredible night...
there were so many great songs in that set, what stood out the most for me was Still Time & Hold On to Me (JOC Remix)... sounded amazing live... hearing Whatever was incredible for me too, as it has always been a favorite of mine...
I was hoping he'd play a few more of their older productions: Uraeus, Dynasty, Key of Life, Ahkn, A Dream of Peace, their remixes of Mungo - Summer Blush or Majera - Velvet Sun... eh, there's always next time hopefully! ;) gotta find out what that JOC vs A&F song is though...
great opening set from Blurr & Beaver... you have a tag team name yet? like, Bleavurr? haha.. i don't know...
and great closing set from Taj, wasn't expecting A&B at the start of the set too...
Thanks again for the shirt Blurr! and Thank you Taj for bringing out some awesome talent!! Simon Patterson... then Aly & Fila...
you've brought out 2 of the 3 DJ's I've always wanted to see... if you ever book DJ Shah, I shall make a shrine of your greatness.... :D |

Wow! What an amazing night for sure!!!!!! I am so glad that we got to see Fila at 1015 instead at the Pharaohs!!!
The vibe was amazing! Everyone was there for the music and to have a great time! Haven't been in a group jumping up and down and singing to a track in a very very long time!!!!
It was also so nice to party it up with the SFTA's again! you guys are are the best. It was good to see and hang out with the LATA's as well!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Fila's set was amazing!!!! I haven't heard trance like that in awhile. It was beautiful. Blur Beave and Taj also killed it!!! It was a great progression imo. :D
Fila got mobbed at the end of his set... but he was so nice about it all making sure everyone got a picture or what ever they needed. :)
Sorry Lindsey that you where so sick! :( No buneo. And Matt lesson learned!! Can not believe you where broken! |

Holly I had so much fun at this event. From the second we walked in, it was on. John Beaver and DJ Blurr both played perfectly to set up Fila. I was really impressed! The place was going off but they still left a little for Fila. Fila's set was AMAZING!!! Better than I dreamed of. Just great track after great track. He really looked like he was having fun. And finally, Taj always blows me away but this set was really good. Need to get the 1015 people down to LA again like now! The trip was more than worth it despite the delayed flights going there and coming home.
As always, the SFTA hospitality is amazing. Thanks Matt for picking us up at the airport and driving us around and Lyndsay (I hope your better) for letting us stay at your place. And Taj for the recommendation for Valentine's Day dinner. That place was perfect. |
