Do any of you invest? (pg. 2)

US tech stocks

Financial sector stocks are good right now if you can find ones that wont collapse under you. This is for the long term though.

Gambling on bankruptcy is good right now too, if you have an idea on what might happen to parent companies, etc. Just be sure to follow them closely while in bankruptcy court or you can lose everything. The good part is you can throw a small amount of money at these stocks and potentially get a massive return and if you lose everything then its not a big deal.

Lately I have been looking for penny-stocks that are doubling and falling and trying to find ones that I can quickly double my investments on and then dump. Make sure their BxA isn't totally off-kilter though or you can drop some change and never get it back even if its tripled or quadrupled in price.

If GM fails and enters favorably in BK look to invest in them. They are still selling huge in China last time I looked and might be a good deal if they come out of it. Even if they never sell another car in North America, those Chinese are getting more and more into personal automobiles.

Does anyone here short? I'd like to learn more about it, even if I never do it (scary, also sorta scummy, but oh well).

Instead of shorting an individual stock you might want to look into shorting an entire sector. FAZ, SKF, SRS and FXP were very good to us in the past few months.

And once your pants rip because your wallet is too thick, you'll forget all about shorting being scummy.

Hey Krypton, share some of your tips so we could all be a little richer...

I did, my favorites are NM, EXM, ESEA, and DSX. But for your investing pleasure, here is my entire third quarter analysis results. The "Intrinsic Gamma" is a metric I developed which measures stock value compared to financial quality. If the intrinsic gamma is above 100, the stock's value is cheap. If the intrinsic gamma is below 100, the stock is expensive. Stock value, in this case, should not be confused with market value. The market value can be completely different from the stock's actual value, which is where I make my profit. I profit from the different in the stock's actual value and the market value. These stocks are a part of my watch list and also includes the entire Dow Jones Industrial Index.

I wish I had the will power and attention to actually analyze lots of different stocks, options, etc! :(

Nothing wrong with asking for an analysis. I do it all the time for several people. I test my results too. Look at my sig. Success is equal to beating the market and so far, I am successful. I still am at a lost, but I am still beating the market, which is all that matters to me.

I number of months ago i did some day trading. Some days losing over a thousand, some days making over a thousand. It was very stressful so i gave it up. Ended up a lil over $2k ahead so i cleaned out my account at a decent time i think. Also invested in a condo years ago. Did ok on that even though the housing market is right now. Now im trying to invest in a house but thats also tough with the shaky market.

I had 15k worth of guns and ammunition in 1990 and the ammunition alone sold for 15k last week. The weapons are around 60k now.

And to add to that I bought a few AR lowers and uppers right before the election that are apparently worth x2 what they were right before that.

Does 401k count?

Forgot to mention I also own gold, silver, and historical artifacts such as world war II memorabilia. How much do you guys think a Champion boxing glove signed by Mahammad Ali would be worth?
