| Basically I want to use both headphones and Line-In sockets to DJ at the same time, however this is based on a laptop so I may need some sort of external soundcard. I just need some direction as to which soundcards ill have to look for specifically to get this setup for Software DJ'ing. Basically its just a way of making mixes without having to spend $3000 on 2 decks and a mixer. |

You mean line-out from the laptop, right? So you can preview monitor in 'phones on one channel plus output to your amplifier on the other stereo channel.
Assuming that, for a laptop that has Cardbus slot, there is the Echo Indigo DJ, I have had one about 5 years and I never remove it because it's so small & convenient. Sound is considered excellent by a lot of DJs (but a few people say it's not the best).

For a laptop that has ExpressBus, Echo now has a very similar card for that type of slot, the Indigo DJx.

There are lots of USB & Firewire sound devices that others can tell you about or check the official forums for the software you will use. |
