this. this i definitely agree with.

everywhere else he had a fantastic supporting cast.

I was just going to say it's because you almost forget he's Tom Cruise. But that reason is true as well. Aside from Jamie Foxx (also good in that film), there really wasn't an ensemble cast to speak of at all.

And the scene in the club is pretty badass.

Collateral may have been his best individual acting work.

Wrong- Born On The 4th Of July and Magnolia ;)

i love collateral.

it's a testament to the GREAT writing of Frank Darabont, though i think he went uncredited in this one.

but when you have the guy behind - The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and the The Mist - you know you can't go wrong.

simply cannot wait for his Fahrenheit 451 remake, coming out in a couple of years.

dude, what?? drop what you're doing tonight and rent Collateral. You'll love Jamie Foxx and, believe it or not, Mark Ruffalo is money in that movie.

Yeah, Magnolia was up there too, though that was a pretty incredible ensemble cast in his favor.

I fuking hate Tom Cruise! Like I seriously can't stand his arrogant ass. He's not even that great of an actor

which pains me to say that unfortunately I want to see this movie only because I enjoy anything WWII related and also having to do with Hitler.

I heard they were SUPPOSED to make a movie called "Hitler" and I kinda confused it with this one @ first.

I also wouldn't trust the critics, they have as much good taste as Elton John does when it comes to fashion.

God, you and Mel both have this Hitler thing.

definitely. First of all, PT Anderson knows how to cast. Secondly, you can't beat John C. Reilly in those specialty character supporting roles (like The Thin Red Line, Boogie Nights, Casualites of War)... and lastly, Phillip Seymore Hoffman; nuff said.

William H. Macy and Alfred Molina are very underrated actors in my opinion as well.

Critics are panning this one... does that mean we should go see it?

Also, see Der Untergang (The Downfall) if you have a Hitler fetish - best biopic out there.

Thanks for the recommendation!

And yes, why not? Critics honestly bash a lot of movies that end up being great. So it's just best to judge for yourself

Ebert & Roeper can stick their two thumbs up/down each others asses :)
