A good DJ knows the right tune to play at the right time. A good DJ goes out and spends all of his free time digging for great music, be it new, old or somewhere in between. A good DJ doesn't have to ask for tracks to play for a radio show, and certainly doesn't have to ask for people to send him tracks that he, theoretically-speaking, should already have.

the internet is creating a pseudo-social environment where everyone is following trends and others' opinions. seriously, no real anymore. no one has a model railway in his cellar anymore, no one is soldering circuits or reading books, no painting, gardening, less musical education and so on, including buying(!) vinyl(!) music(!), all these things that made our parents' generation the most successful in 3 million years of human history (seriously) dont exist anymore. because everyone is gathering in the internet. our generation is probably gonna look not so good in 10 or 20 years. its a shame... |
