Solange Charlet aka DJ Sol was born in Chile and came to the U.S. at the age of three. From growing up in a Latin family her musical influences have taken on an array of various tastes, which includes percussion, horns, piano, funky base lines and all sorts of Latin rhythms. Sol’s DJ sets contain a broad range of styles of house music from deep to tribal and progressive. She also incorporates hip-hop, down tempo, trip-hop, drum n bass, including scratches in her inspiring, body moving DJ sets.

The versatility Sol displays in her music has maintained her status as a top notch DJ where as she has joined the ranks and played side by side with world renowned Djs such as Little Louie Vega, Dimitri from Paris, Boy George, Mark Farina, Deep Dish, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha & Digweed, Saeed & Palash, Eddie Amador, Frankie Feliciano, Danny Howells and just about to every super DJ you can think of. The versatility of Sol’s DJ set was witnessed when she opened for Little Louie Vega; her set was deep, jazzy and was combined with inspirational vocals and added a Latin twist. When Sol opened for Deep Dish she played tribal, sexy, dark and progressive house.

Sol’s uncanny ability to move a crowd earned her a spot as the only 5 year female resident DJ at one of L.A.’s major clubs, Club Giant. Giant is known for bringing the best talent from around the globe, as Sol’s unique style and flawless mixing is like no other, it’s no wonder that Giant wanted her as their resident DJ.

Sol’s passion for music has given her a reputation as one of L.A’s most influential DJs and has made her attain notoriety as a club favorite.

Of recent, she went on a hiatus but is now back to show LA denizens the skills that brought her her previous acclaims. Check her out THIS Friday Jan 2 as she GETs DOWN at King King.
