REVIEW: Donald Glaude & Company @ Footwork

Soooo, my first time at Footwork!!! I figured this warranted a review thread. We got there I guess around midnight-ish after parking near TIL for Deadmau5 and realizing we'd have to wait till eternity ends just to get into that place (damn Z103 promoting events!! :whip: ) Lol at the random guys we met in the street when we were asking for directions to fw, one was super loaded and kept trying to "pull it out"
Anyways, blessing in disguise! FW was so much fun, I loved the intimate feel of that club :) It really shouldn't have taken me that long to check it out! Unfortunately, the night started with one of the worst sets I've ever heard in my life by Mr. Shepp himself. Absolutely NO trackflow, kept changing the speed and did nothing to impress whatsoever. The dj after saved us at least :D I'm not sure who it was. But GLAUDE you never disappoint. Awesome, awesome times listening to him spin, and JELO definitely kept it going after Glaude finished!! We left around 4:30 b/c we were super tired and I was slightly intoxicated...but awesome seeing everyone again! Nice to bump into Chris, Shaya and Kotsy, as well as a reunion with Jeff!!! :D

highlight of my night was hangin out with chris sheppard on the patio..he is one odd and funny dude...! his set was somewhat random but it's freakin chris sheppard and the nostalgia factor was enough for me...aaaand he dropped a drum n bass track...love the randomness of it...:tongue2

As sick as I am, this totally made my morning to wake up and listen to!

Having Donald Glaude cheer you on and scream is pretty awesome. lol :D

Easily one of the longest times I've waited in a lineup (hour and a half). Only lineup to beat this would be BEB 08 which was 2 hours, but at least that was indoors.

I was pissed that I only caught 15 minutes of Shep, but it's better than nothing. I agree that his track selection was very random.. but it's ing Chris Sheppard. All I cared about was that he was dropping classics. Rob D - Clubbed to Death?? The Witch Doktor?! Wooo!!

My first time seeing John E as well and I was quite impressed. He dropped so many old bombs that got me jumping up and down. Josh Wink - High State of Consciousness (Original), Dee-Lite - Groove Is In The Heart, Run-DMC - It's Like That (I think it was John-E who played this), Black Legend - You See The Trouble In Me etc etc

Donald Glaude and Jelo absolutely DESTROYED. Holy god I love the energy of these two lads. Watching Jelo's hair move when he's banging his head up and down is hilarious. Song of the night: Sneaker Pimps - Spin Spin Sugar. *bows down* Props for dropping a remix of Daft Punk - Da Funk too!

I love the sound system and vibe at Footy. It's really hard to have a bad time at this club. Can't wait to return!

p.s. - I didn't know Kid Cudi - Day 'N' Nite was old school

ok seriously how can there not be more reviews then this when Footy was rammed to the all nite!?

Anyways, amazing nite!! Nite started off amazingly with a ridiculously good set by Robbbbbbb G and it only got better from there. Chris Shappards set WAS a lil all over the place BUT dude!!! Its ing Chris Sheppard!!!! Just seeing him play made my nite since his cds were the first "house" cds i ever listened to.

The vibe was second to none, everyone there was dancing their asses off and having an amazing time, seriously i couldnt have asked for a better bunch of people for that nite!

Nites like this remind me how much i love Footwork, its honestly impossible to have a bad time there!!!!!!!!!!
