Not sure how many UFC fans we have here, but I'll give my quick review...

Wow, what a night tonight was.
In fact, depending whom you ask, it's quite possible all three big matches were upsets.
~ After being absolutely dominated by Wanderlei Silva in the last two matches, Quintin Jackson got his revenge. And what a revenge it was. He knocked Silva out cold. Legs shaking and all.
~ Frank Mir looked awesome. No, he looked better than awesome. What the happened to Minotauro tonight? He looked old and slow. Very, very disappointing. Mir made it look wayyyy too easy with this TKO. Bring on Brock Lesnar.
~ And after two rounds, Forrest Griffin was en route to handing Rashad Evans his first defeat. And that's when Evans took him to the floor, and just pummeled him.
Good ...I need another beer. |

Silva's fight with Liddell was the last one I saw of him. Looked like he was losing it, so this doesn't surprise me.
Wish I could've seen that Griffin vs. Jackson fight! :) |

Vanderlei's is done now. He made the fatal mistake of training at that camp where they wear no gloves and aim to knock one another out. hes takin so many knock outs that hes got a weak chin now, Rampage knocked him out with a left. BUt I in love rampage.
I am happy forrest lost. He doesn't deserve to be champ and i find him to be a little bitch. Evans is a boring fighter and isn't ready to be champ (he even said this to dana when dana gave him this fight), So I don't see him holding the belt for too long. He's inevitably going to have to step in the ring with rampage next fight.
As for Frank Mir...Wow. totally didnt want to see him win but ill give it to him...what a performance |

Awesome event, even the undercard fights 9is that what they're called?) were awesome.

Yea that was really disappointing. I mean it was great to see Mir fight so well, especially since he's not particularly known for his stand up game, but at the same time, Nogueira didn't stand up to name Minotauro which was disappointing. In fact he didn't come close. I mean he got knocked to the floor three times dammit! |

Got to give it to Rampage, he really brushed up his striking as of late. And Wandy, certainly is not adapting well, he still has the same ol striking style, loopy. But man that was a solid hard hook.
That unfortunately is Big Nogs style, inactive. He really never does much besides not get knocked out cold. Mir was totally on his game and his stand-up was spot on. I am glad he is back in shape and training correctly. Now if we could only get the top Heavy Weight in there.
I think Forrest and Rashad was pretty even after 2. They were both landing shots throughout, but damn, from top position he knocks Forrest out. He is hard to beat I will give him that. I want to see what he will do about a healthy in shape Shogun or even a Machida.
It was a pretty good fight card, I was kind of bummed they ended with 25 minutes left in the PPV. I wanted another fight! but I think they showed them all. |

| If GSP beats BJ, there goes Anderson Silva's eight match UFC win streak. |

| Anderson silva is retiring in May i think. He only has two matches left. They will probably put him up against a nobody and then make him fight GSP for his last match. |

| Silva will fight Thales Leites in UFC 97 in Montreal [April]. |

That Rashad is undefeated is all the evidence I need to know that the 205lb class is utterly talentless. I can't wait for the sport to have the talent pool that boxing has provided in the past...
GSP won't beat Silva. |
