anyone play? and those who do, what are your thoughts on the game? is it worth 30$?

also, how does it compare to WoW in terms of gameplay?
Taranis
It's pretty average. Good ideas, but not very well implemented and the game is very buggy and hard on your computer. I played till level 30 and got sick of the pve content that's pretty much just WoW, but worse, and the PvP which mostly comes down to farming the same instanced battlegrounds over and over. Balance was completely ed as well, but that's pretty standard for the genre.

I think it could be a good game given another 6 months or so for them to realise where they ed up and fix it, and smooth out the bugs and performance issues. The major issue I had with it was that the open pvp content was useless and everyone stayed holed up in the BG's, but I'm told they've made the world pvp much more desireable and people are actually fighting out there now.

If you're really into your PvP maybe give it a shot, I hear it's improved since I played at release, and WoW PvP is horrible at the moment. But if you like dungeons/raiding/questing WoW is still king of the hill in every way.

WoW pvp was grand before the expansion, AB, WS, all that was fun and you could play over and over and not get bored. arena is ing gash. i remember grinding 12+ hours all day every day before exp. to hit high warlord as fast as i could, because the weapons/gear was both unique and great, then the patches come out, all that hard work got destroyed and then the exp. comes out (even before) and the gear gets raped. pretty much why i sold all my accounts. and getting gear in WoW now is completely pointless, it's not like you'd go to molten core/bwl in the early days, instances are ing boring as .

don't know, guess i'm just looking for a new mmo. guild wars is gay, so is CoH/V. might give it a shot, 30 days free doesn't hurt and it beats paying the full 50$ for the game

Yeah WoW PvP just seems to get worse with every change they make to it. I can't stand arena's, especially with how unbalanced they are right now, and the old BG's were fun at first, but it gets kind of old after 3 years haha.

Yeah give it a shot, see how you like it. It's not a complete abortion of a game like Vanguard or AoC were, just needs some work done on it. I think people can do an invite a friend thing for a free trial if you know anyone who plays.

That's what I used to tell my mama when I stole cookies from the cookie jar.

I played the first week it was out, too many bugs for me to continue with, and it just seems like WoW with better PvP and a bit more realistic graphics.

too bad WotLK sucks more than any game ever released

and this is enough evidence to prove it:

:o

bring back the days of bwl and i'm game

I think WoTLK's biggest problem is that it lacks substance. I started a brand new account about a week before it came out, was level 80 about 10 days after WoTLK released, a week later and I'd completed all of the available content bar one fight. They've toned it down for the retards so anyone with two brain cells to rub together can roll their face across the keyboard and finish everything the expansion has to offer.
