2.Jesse Rose, Style of Eye, DJ Pierre, Nick Hoppner, Marcel Dettmann, Cassy, Renato Cohen @ Panorama Bar/Berghain (Berlin)
3.Hawtin and Villalobos at Berghain (Berlin) - Best set by far I heard by anyone this year by Villalobos
4.Alex Under - Awakenings Afterparty in June...it saved the whole event
5. Minitek - Music was all amazing and saved this festival
Toronto
1. Honey Dijon at FW - the crowd in FW was crazy
2. Danny Tenaglia at Circa - Industry crowd and Tenaglia finally learned to play minimal
3. Tom Stephan at Circa in the Ballroom - one of the first parties of 2008 which I'm sure a lot of you forgot this since it was so early but it set the standard
4. Adam Beyer at Circa in the Ballroom - The ballroom is such an amazing space
5. Loco Dice - Boat Cruise |

How could I have forgotten...the energy and vibe at the party was UNMATCHED for the majority of the year.
His set was phenomenal, peak hour Tom Stephan FTW. What a ing night....:eyespop: |

Although Comsic sucked hard opening for Joof, he destroyed the Guv after wards, and totally made up for it. Def goes down as one of the best trance sets I have ever heard live.
Unfortunately, his return was not as epic. |

From the sounds of it, I should be kicking myself for missing this :(
I definitely have to say, personally, that Labour of Love was one of my fave parties, specifically the last few hours in KH with Armin. 12 year w/ Ferry was also great, especially b/c of all the space!! What can I say, I'm a sucker for trance in KH :)
Oh, and SVD...for obvious biased reasons :D |
