yea i keep hearing bad things bout this guy but yet he's still on the line-up |
james is an actual resident dj at Richs and Richs kinda thinks like this.
They want a resident dj opening up for the shows that are happening in their clubs for the soul reasin if someone in the clubs likes what they hear they know where they can come back and hear them.
the down fall to that is. it's not the proper opening set everytime and really kills the vibe of the night. |

any idea of the timeslot you've got? hopefully it's james, then you, then A&B. would be horrible to go from a great set by you to a crappy set by james and then to what should be a phenomenal set from A&B. |

| We need Desyn Masiello to do a show in Houston. By himself, no SOS. |

OK after a few drinks I managed to see a SXSW post of acts planning to play and notables I saw after a few beers were LEE BURRIDGE, Deadmau5 (...I know), Crystal Method, Kaskade. I have to see what I can do to see Burridge. He's on my list of must see's.
Any one else care to go through the list to see what you notice.

Hopefully enough people can petition Riches management to have Cory open in lieu of James Reed.
0.02 I only hate James because of his attitude. I met the dude briefly and he was a complete douchebag. Had he been a cool dude, I would have cut him some slack on his music. But hell no, let me catch his ass on the street.
So JR knows how to beatmatch, that's about all he can do. Alot of his mixes are rushed, and his track selections are disorganized. Forget even trying to mix harmonically or anything that makes one a "good" DJ. He'll probably never produce, or get anywhere above where he is now.
Wes Walz is another DJ I've seen at Riches. While his trance sets are decent, his progressive/electro house sets has a similar sound that I work with. He doesn't have a whole lot of experience, but even he kicks the crap out of James. |
