I was thinking of coming down to Toronto with some friends tonight, but I can see that there isn't many big djs this weekend because of the clubs spending money on NYE.
Any idea who is djing in Footwork tonight |

Whats the deal here? Does the city do a bunch of checks at the beginning of the year or something? |

it's a quiet period first few weeks of january, and you're allowed to pick the time frame for your permit suspensions within reason (about 4-6 months if i recall). most bars and clubs will pick a quiet period just after a long weekend or holiday period since it is understandably slower, and usually take the opportunity to do some modifications since they already have to be closed (or opt to be since they can't serve liquor). |
