disagree, i think it's actually one of the better remixes / remakes

a lot of the older classics (and this is certainly one of them, as is the guru josh track mentioned earlier) aren't club friendly now (difficult to mix them in / out etc), and the best remakes (imo) keep the best parts of the original, whilst at the same time making it easier for DJs to play them out. I certainly don't agree with those "purists" who automatically slam a track that's been remade as it's "not the classic"

I don't think the original needs updating, so a remix that exists primarily to make it "club friendly" is a pretty pointless remix in my opinion. Too many remakes exist just for the sake of incompetent DJs.

This does my head in. There's no such thing as an 'non-club friendly' track. If you can't mix a track unless it has a 'standard' 32 beat intro then you are not a DJ.
