I'm looking for some help buying a pair of powered speakers. I need a pair that's powerful enough to blow a house party out of the water (a room the size of an average basement). How many watts is necessary in this scenario?
Can anyone of you guys recommend a specific pair that fits the description for about $1,000-$1,500?
Also, where's the best place to buy powered speakers in Toronto?
Thanks for your help guys! |

I don't know if this is the best place to buy speakers... but Steve's on Queen St. has a good selection of speakers. Wouldn't hurt to go down there and talk to a salesperson, they can probably help you find what you're looking for. |

if your looking for something just for parties...this is of course not assuming you are using them as monitors...take a look at the b-52 matrix systems. heres the mid range one

for the money, you get a lot of boom. not necessarily the best sounding thing...but it'll get parties done no problem. |

| Yea for sure, they are powerful monitors, and have a very crisp sound, not to mention their look will scare any other monitor away haha |
