i don't have bedroom studio because i have that corner on my living room.
i like to have that special area not the full room, because family is important to me - if i had separate studio, then we would feel kind a separated.;) |

Bedroom, living room, studio... all in one. :)
But there are advantages to this. All the furniture soaks up a lot of bass making the room sound better. The huge window on the side of the room on the other hand.. doesn't help. Luckily I'll prolly be moving to a house in a year or two and I've already booked a room for my studio. :)
Still.. There's nothing like falling asleep while staring at a bass trap above your bed... |

If you can find a good deal on the k701, Iīd get those!
I havenīt heard a lot of different headphones in action,
so I donīt really have a good opinion on what is the best.
But all I can say, is that the k701 suits me very well.
However I had a tough time to get used to the true bass
response they give, compared to my sennheiser hd500. |

| I have the AKG K 701's... Bad buy imo.. Can't handle much bass or get very loud without clipping, and they tire (HURT) your ears fast when producing.. i end up using my 20$ numarks alot instead. |

As long as you can still see your TFT it's all good. DAW's aren't judgemental ;) |

I guess everyone has their own opinion. But you say they canīt handle
much bass, and they cant play very loud without clipping. Iīm starting to
wonder exactly how loud youīre playing! I just tried to make mine
distort with a 50hz sine wave, and I had to crank it REALLY loud for it
clip.
anyway, theyīre not built for spl, but for detailed monitoring as you know.
And remember they need a long time to settle, before they are optimal sounding (supposedly).
Palm: I did buy a headphone amp with it, but it seems like I donīt need
it with my konnekt8 anyway. It seems to have a strong headphone amp
built in. I bought the millenium hp1. |
