Rick Rosner is a good man

I saw this guy on the Subway commercial (I think) billed as the "world's smartest man"
So I looked up his wikipedia entry and saw this quote:
| quote: | | Reactions to Rosner have included pity and scorn: “Rick is an example of how society fails children who are geniuses.…it's sad that instead of becoming a great scientist or business leader he winds up being nothing but a bouncer” (Kantor 2007) “…the worst of what many people believe they'll find in the high IQ societies” (Bultas 2005) “If he’s so smart, what the hell is he doing being a bouncer, a stripper, a roller skating waiter and a model? I presume Mr. Rosner earned his reputation by getting a high score on an IQ test. If so, he is a perfect example of how meaningless those tests can be” (Smith 1986). |
Why such negative reaction to a genius?
[quote]Rosner has admitted, “I like to do something obnoxious every few months—to make people nervous” (Zaslow 1990). He cavorted as a giant penis on The Man Show (episode 420), posed naked for Crank Yankers (episode 2.17), and, on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, accepted a bet to go without sex for a month (2003), danced naked (2007), and ate a bowl of pencil erasers while trussed up like Hannibal Lecter (2004). He hired a plane to tow a banner displaying a gravitational equation over Boulder and Denver (Jones 1986, Gibson 1986) and placed physics ads in the showbiz newspaper Variety (2007)./quote]
anyone have videos of this? I didn't see anything on youtube or googleVideo. Not gay to see him dancing naked, but I really have a dream to work at NASA, still listening to trance, street racing and gang banging. |

This guy is amazing.
No reason to give up on the enjoyments of life just because your colleagues don't want you tapping some sweet ass (oh wait, that's Einstein)
Just a glorified thrillseeker who prefers the taste of doggy treats as opposed to catfood because "the bones kinda get caught in your throat."

His work history doesn't seem terribly dissimilar from equally noted ultra-high IQ scorer Christopher Langan, who has also gained the reputation of 'world's smartest man' (though these seem to be mainly media designations, so I wouldn't put much stock in them either way).
Like Rosner, Langan also worked as a bouncer, and spent a decent period of his life working in labor related fields.
