I won't even get into the bevel argument since there are people who hate it and love it but that's from their own graphics' work point of view. I'm used to hearing that for years already.
Uhm, as for the color/lighting difference - I know it's there but i'm not yet convinced that having it match exactly makes it 'better', I think the slight contrast provides adequate separation between the two without being too strong
Feel free to manipulate the image you "Graphics Addicts" - it gets kind of old to have the "experts" comment on things but never putting forth a modification that shows the skills they claim to have.

it would be a lot easier to mod, if we had the original photoshop file, or whatever proggy you used, =P. maybe you should put it up and let us all tinker with it, if you don't mind. |

Interesting how the color difference is MUCH more apparent on my work monitor (Dell 17" Trinitron) as compared to the NEC Fe950+ 19" I have at home...
Hmm..I just noticed it now - which is why some of you notice the color difference more than others. |

Just curious...it reminds me of the those little center pieces back in the 70's that you used to put on 45's, to connect them to the record player. |
