Sorry but that's bull. The problem with religion is not religion itself but how some misuse it to advance personal or political interests. If there were no religion those same people would misuse something else.

Are you religious???

And I don't disagree that ppl would still have conflict for personal and political issues...

I said that abolishing religion would solve a lot of problems...

I'm sorry but I have to disagree. The problems that most people associate with religions are actually problems created by people misusing religion to advance personal or political interests. If religion were to be abolished then people would simply find another vehicle to try and sway or control people in order to advance their goals (the communist party structure in the Soviet Bloc is a good example of this... once the religious institutions were abolished the dictates of the party were used as the mechanism for control/influence). It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with motivated self-interest on the parts of the abusers of faith combined with intellectual laziness or lack of independent thought on the part of those that allow themselves to be led blindly (by anything or one).

I would also have to disagree with this statement.

Human's need something to believe in, to make them feel like they are not just walking this earth aimlessly for no purpose. It gives people a sense of hope.

I fear without religion we would have a lot of empty people roaming this earth.

Although, I do agree that abolishing religion WOULD CHANGE EVERYTHING.

Well, I was always told as a very young child that one day the whole world and how we saw it would change dramaticaly....

...apparently the change would be brought on by a dead mouse....
