I doubt that the Lazy Fat People will release something. ;)

BTW wasn't the reef carribean remix on that fairmont release done by The MFA?

i will listen with an open mind...i certainly hope it is better than the last year of sub par bc releases. It would be nice to see the label become relevant again.

Which release do you see as the falling off point?

I personally think Ricardo Tobar's first one was the last significant one. Abbott's was decent only for Melody 120 and then the second Tobar and Bernwerk are pretty mediocre
elFreak
pretty much.

sunset is the last ep that got a purchase from me, the rest did nothing at all for me.

I agree, but still thought the Fairmont album was good. So I would say the Fairmont album was the last interesting thing released on BC

I liked Fairmont's album, I even bought I Need Medicine on 12". Haven't been much a fan of those new artists like Tobar etc though. Any news on Holden's full album anytime soon? Since TIAW was meant to just be a mini-album...

the fairmont album was just ok to me. I was really looking forward to it, so i guess my expectations were too high and i ended up being meh about it. It was far from being garbage, but it was not what i really expected.

I'm a big Border Community fan, so probably whatever Holden decide to release there will end up in my crate. However, I can't say that I am a big Ricardo Tobar fan.

wotyzoid
+1 I'm such a sucker for Holden.

Even thought I don't really enjoy "new" BC, I think that they are first and foremost making music that they love. So hopefully by their NEXT big shift I'll have fallen back in love.
