I just had a flashback to some crazy ass party I was at my freshman year of college. More on the bizarre side than awesome, but the memory will stick with me forever. I went to a small private university my Freshman year in North Carolina because I was an out of state student and got a scholarship to go there. It was in a pretty rural area. This was first weekend of college before classes even started- didn't know anyone.
I went with a few guys in my dorm to some party at a guy's house off campus. Almost got my face smashed in by some 30 year old redneck that was still going to college parties over something stupid.... then I watched as the house owners' neighbor's German Shepard jumped a fence and tried to attack some random guy. He cold-cocked the dog across its chin as it was in mid air about to destroy him, and knocked it out cold. That's just the tip of the ice berg, but it was pretty crazy all around.
Ended up going back to the dorms with the current Miss Teen North Carolina and banging the out of her in a drunken stupor. Girls dorms and guys dorms were on separate ends of campus and if you got caught in the henhouse, you were strait up kicked out of school. I remember running across campus at 4:00 am dressed in all black with a black hoodie on being chased by a security golf cart, but I was too quick for his ass. Woke up the next day and was like , is this what it's like to live away from home for the first time? Awesome! I was out of there after 1 year though... small ing private schools. worthless! |

thats a bit harsh. I love small private colleges. Research Universities (I know i go to one) do not fit the idyllic vision of college and higher learning I initially had. |

The best party I have ever been to was about 10 years ago when I was still at school , I think I was 16 but anyway there was this girl in our year who's parents had gone on holiday and left her alone. So she decided to throw a party for a few people but didnt realise that half of the school knew about this party , were talking about 500+ people it was suppose to be her 16th Birthday party with a few friends.
I didnt even know this girl but was invited through a friend of mine , we got to her house and could hardly get in through the front door as the house was full and it was only 7pm , so it got to the point were strangers were coming in from the streets and it turned bad , people were doing drugs in the kitchen using her parents sink as a water bong and doing coke on her kitchen worktop , people were stealing everything from the bedrooms, there was ppl ing in every room , people being sick on the carpet , ppl pissing on the floor , the stairs was full of people passed out from booze , someone decided to beat up the local gay boy so there was a blood on the carpet , I remember going into the front room and someone fell over into the curtains and pulled down the whole curtain rack and smashed into loads of expensive glass , about 11pm the cops came and started to arrest people and break up the party. I heard some stories that her parents had lots of expensive jewelry stolen and someone had took her parents car for a spin and crashed it. I think she was grounded for a good few months.
Good party tho... :) |

Well, I'm pretty sure these are lame in comparison to being off your on E, coke, and LSD at 5 am watching a sunrise in Ibiza or dancing naked all night with 20,000 people in the middle of a field rave in Britain. |
have been to plenty of those kinds of parties... think practically once a weekend for 5 years. :D |

Never done that exactly. Just checking in to voice my opinion that alcohol is a pretty poor experience compared to other intoxicants. I drink, but I do it in the knowledge that I am using a lame substitute for the things I would rather have. Why can't the really fun and interesting stuff be legal?
| quote: | | But I'm not a drug person and this is rural Massachusetts, state school, where the general idea of a fun off-the-walls party is drinking bud light or 40oz all night playing beer pong and then passing out in a pool of your vomit. |
That basically describes the college parties I've been to. The funny thing is, if I get drunk enough I can actually convince myself it's enjoyable. |

meh. they're fine for certain things I guess, but for me who wanted the real college experience, well picture this: I grew up on the beach in Florida then overnight I find myself at some rural Baptist school out in the country... maybe 4500 students, no football team (the homecoming game was with soccer), tons of bible beaters, and male dorms separated from female dorms by about a half mile. Then, I go to NC State one weekend, then UNC Chapel Hill another weekend, then down to Florida State to visit some friends I just graduated high school with on another weekend.... go to some real parties, some bigtime football games, etc. Yeah, it was definitely time to file those transfer papers, scholarship or not. |

Something tells me those were the real reasons the school lacked good parties, not its size.

| He claims to have been transferred out but I think he was in fact kicked out for being far too much of a freethinker. |
